Fast Pack
The Hot Wheels Fast Pack is a modular track system that doubles as a portable car storage case. With the four storage cases you can carry up to 30 cars on the go, giving the user multiple options of speed and to show off their collection. When ready to race, remove the two tracks and set up the track in three different ways for point to point, circuit, and a speed race with elevation. Fast packs can connect to existing tracks at home or be packed up to use on the go anywhere.
Project Brief
Project requirement was to create a product with a modular design. Looking at something I was interested in, I found myself looking into Hot Wheel tracks. I wanted the design to be compact so it can easily be packed up to be played with when traveling. Although the design needed to be modular I didn’t want the fun to stop there. I also wanted the fast pack to be able to connect with existing Hot Wheel tracks. When on the go, I wanted there to be multiple ways to play, this is exuded in the multiple different types of tracks that allow the user to play solo or with friends.
Track One
Continuous track with elevation by putting the car storage units under the track to prop it up
Track Two
Side-by-side, point-to-point racing allows kids to compete against each other in a time trial setting
Track Three
Allows kids to run a dual figure eight system racing against each other
